April’s Mental Gymnastics |
|
This month’s crossword has a ‘monumental’ feel to it, and a couple of
seriously dodgy clues, for which we apologise in advance. We’ve also
constructed a new logic problem for you, in the spirit of social
responsibility (!) this one is about drunk students. You’ll also find
the solutions to last month’s puzzles on this page. |

Logic Problem: Relatives Come to Visit! |
 |
| Four students on their summer vacation meet
up in Rethymnon. They decide to go out partying, and one thing leads to
another….. From the clues below, work out which country each student is
from, what their particular party piece was, what they were studying and
where they plan to go next – if they can ever tear themselves away from
Rethymnon. The New Zealander’s excuse for singing Volare was an
‘Italian grandmother’. Rosie is studying French but she isn’t going to
Brussels. The Danish person who did the chicken impressions is going to
Venice but isn’t studying art history. Frank is from Austria, but didn’t
do cartwheels. The person from Scotland is studying physics and the
person studying biology is going to Sofia. Angus, who is not going to
Athens is not studying physics or biology and Barbara did the
cartwheels. |
