Composers and Performers |

This month our crossword compiler has gone all musical, so expect to find some obscure bands (some of which should
maybe stay that way?) and rock references among the clues. As ever, you’ll also find solutions to last month’s puzzles on
this page. |

Logic Problem #15: Eggheads |
 |
|
Four mad scientists tried to invent devices to make cooking and / or eating eggs easier for Easter. They were so proud of their inventions that they demonstrated their prototypes in public, with unfortunate results. From the clues below, work out the name of each scientist’s invention, where it was demonstrated, what it was supposed to do and what went wrong.
Baffin Boffin tried to demonstrate his invention at the Village Fete. This was not the ‘Perfect Poacher’ which is supposed to glow in the dark.
Chemical Chaos tried to invent a magnetic gadget—unfortunately he got the physics wrong and his device flew away instead. Dr Ditz was showing off his ‘Wonder Whisk’, and Professor Purple’s creation exploded in a spectacular fashion at a Music Festival.
The whistling ‘Tip - Top Timer’ collapsed, and it was ‘Crafty Cup’ (the egg-cup to end all egg-cups) which was being demonstrated on a TV show.
