Pipe Dreams?

This group was spotted at Four Martyr’s Square by our eagle-eyed roving reporter—they seem to have made a bit of a detour! July brought mixed fortunes here. Sadly, the unprecedented heat-wave and resulting forest fires took their toll in more ways than one. However, on the plus side Rethymnon pulled out all the stops to keep us entertained with a fantastic range of sporting and cultural events. We began to feel that if we blinked, we’d miss out on something exciting! August bodes equally well, and we hope to bring you a grand ‘summer round-up’ in our September issue.

Highlights:

The camera crew had an absolute field day (!) with sport this month. We’re grateful for the invention of the digital camera as otherwise we would be buried under a mountain of film by now! You’ll find a few of our favourite pictures on the Sport Gallery Page. Other delights include: Enterprising Locals being extremely enterprising, Stella McBarking with an added twist and what might be the longest recipe for potato salad in the world….
