Summer Arts Festival: August TimetableHere we bring you the programme of events that are scheduled to take place in August in the Erofili Theatre in the Fortezza as part of the Rethymnon Summer Arts Festival. This year, despite the ‘crisis’ we have a really great line up and there are several freebie performances too! Please note that the timetable below is the one that we were given at the time of going to press, and that as ever, the schedule might change. So, if you are planning to go to any of these events, please check ahead of time! We will be providing regular updates as and when we get them on our Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle Facebook group and also on our www.rethymnon.biz website.

Ticket Sales and Information: Municipal Info Kiosk on Four Martyrs’ Square - Monday to Saturday 09:00 - 14:00 (hopefully tickets available a couple of days in advance); Erofili Theatre, Fortezza - Tel. 28310 28101 (tickets on sale one hour prior to each performance).

06/08 The Tale of a Town. Performance by Hroes (Χροες), based on the novel by the Rethymnon writer Pantelis Prevelakis. Starts 21.30. Free!
08/08 Honouring early 20th century masters of Cretan music from the Rethymnon Prefecture. Starts 21.00. Free!
12/08 The Sound of the Laouto, with Stelios Stamatoyian- nakis and Manolis Verdinakis. Starts 21.30. €10.
