Kalamitsi Amygdali Arts Group: May and June Dates

Kalamitsi Arts GroupOnce again we are grateful to the Kalamitsi Amygdali Arts Group (KAG), based in the Vamos region of Crete (which is a 30—45 minute drive away to the West of Rethymnon—so just a hop, skip and a jump) for keeping us inspired with a whole host of activities and events to take us through the summer months. These include workshops / classes / concerts / drama productions and skill sharing opportunities. And in June there will be the fabulous Vamos Arts Month - you will be able to read more about this on the following page. Here in the Bugle we give you just a few highlights, but we hope this gives you a bit of an idea of what is on offer.

You can find out more online from the following links:
www.amygdali.com or by getting in touch by emailing Francesca@amygdali.com and / or phoning Francesca or Phil at the following numbers: 28250 22515 / 6945 020497

KAG will be hosting an Art, Crafts and Local Produce Market on Friday May 11th at Liakoto Art Cafe in Vamos. They hope to be offering a diverse range of work, including jewellery, textiles, wood and ceramic pieces, greetings cards and photography as well as art and craft books, materials and equipment. There will also be locally produced and homemade foods such as cheese and honey. And it is important to note that they will be featuring quality, home produced goods and produce only. Doors will open to the public at 10am and the market will stay open until 2pm. Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available. If you need more information just get in touch!

A Change in the Way that KAG Operates Bookings

Francesca and Phil Harrsion from KAG write: In these rather more difficult times we will be relying more on pre-booked reservations for our events. This will help to ensure that such events are well attended and financially viable. So if you wish to come to an such an event you will need to reserve seats by email. 'Friends of KAG' will continue to enjoy priority bookings and exclusive 'Friends' events. If you would be interested in becoming a 'Friend of KAG' please contact us for details. We fully intend to continue providing a diverse and entertaining range of events in our area. We hope you appreciate the need for this small change and we thank you for your continued support which makes what we do possible.
