Long Words |
It being the season of good will, we have taken pity on you this month, there are fewer clues to longer words, and not quite as many bogus acronyms as usual! As usual, you’ll also find solutions to last month’s puzzles on this page. |

Logic Problem #23: Sorry Santas |
Four disreputable geezers employed as Santa Claus in various locations over the festive season failed to do the necessary in terms of imparting the spirit of season of goodwill. From the clues below, find out which Santa was booked where, what each Santa did wrong, what the children did in revenge, and what gifts each Santa had to give to say ’Sorry’.
Alf was the Santa who was booked for the Theme Park. Bert was the Santa who was being rude to his helpful elves, but he was not the Santa who was bound and gagged by the children. Colin had to promise each of the children a new bicycle after disgracing himself at the department store.
The children put superglue on Derek’s Santa beard in response to his bad behaviour. Neither Derek nor Colin were the Santa who was shamed by a grotty grotto. The Santa whose reindeer were kidnapped had to supply a new computer game to each child as ransom.
The Santa booked for the leisure centre was the Santa who had itching powder put in his outfit as a punishment. Derek was not the Santa who was found to be drunk in charge of a sled, and Bert was not the Santa who ended up promising each of the children a new football as a compensatory present.
