Let the Music Play!

Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle - Let the Music Play!

The New Year arrived and so did the rain! For much of January it has been absolutely bucketing down (though this may be hard to believe from our cover photo). On the plus side, we’ll be glad of the water come summer time, the snow on the mountains is really pretty, and the parsley in the garden is now green and fluffy rather than sad and shrivelled….
We’re looking forward to a fantastic February in Rethymnon. The amazing Carnival season is just about to begin - this year we’re expecting a record number of Carnival spectators. People in town are gearing themselves up for the party to end all parties! (You can find out more about this unique festival inside this month’s issue.) Silly hat time yet again!!!!

February Highlights:

On our Spotlight Page we focus on love - Greek style. We have some wonderfully weird stories about wildlife, some surreal ’lifestyle’ ideas, and the crossword is as eccentric as ever! All this plus news and views from around town, updates from local enterprises, details of local community and charity events, and much more!

About ‘The Bugle’

The Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle is an independent, monthly FREE publication that was started in January 2007 by the same team responsible for the www.rethymnon.biz website — Kate and Luc Brusten, who have been living and working in Rethymnon for a number of years. The Bugle is geared not only towards the international community living in Rethymnon, but also towards anyone who has an interest in the town. The aim of the publication is to be both informative and light hearted. We welcome feedback and written / photographic contributions from readers. We particularly welcome feature articles that have a Rethymnon slant; if you are considering submitting an article we would ask that you keep to an upper word limit of 500 words.

You will find our contact details and a listing of hard copy distribution outlets at the bottom of our This Month Page.

We hope you enjoy reading our February issue!
