Healthy Eating TipsMany thanks to local nutritionist Uta Wagner for providing us with the following healthy eating tips. Uta writes: ‘Now it's time to eat lots of vegetables! After a big Christmas dinner, with lots of biscuits, raki and champagne - our body has an acidic reaction. Our bodies tend to work best if our blood and cell fluids at a pH value of 7,3 (neutral). Sugar, alcohol and animal fat increase the level of acids and the pH value of the blood lowers. When our body is becoming acidic, it is more susceptible to diseases and infections. Once this happens, the body tries to compensate by drawing on its own natural reserves.
