Happy Birthday To Us!

Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle - Happy Birthday

And Happy New Year to everyone! Never shy of blowing our own trumpet, fugelhorn or tuba, we’ve been celebrating, celebrating all the way on this, our first anniversary. Boogie and Bugle on down, that’s what we say. The festive season has been absolutely fantastic here, as ever, hope it was for all our readers. There were a record number of Christmas lights illuminating Rethymnon, but remarkably few power cuts (next time, Yiannis, remember which bit of your glow-in-the-dark Santa should be earthed and which bit connects to the live wire). Seriously, although the town embraced the Christmas spirit with considerable gusto (and incredible amounts of tinsel), people remained incredibly relaxed, warm and giving. A lovely place to be, and we wouldn’t have wished to be anywhere else.

January 2008 Highlights:

On our Spotlight Page you will find that we were fortunate enough to be able to interview the Mayor, who gave his thoughts on his first year in office. We have news and views from around town, give you information about community events and provide updates from enterprising locals. We also have an alternative perspective on the last century, some very helpful ‘lifestyle’ hints and an all new version of the Bugle Horoscope….
