Renaissance Festival Timetable

Renaissance FestivalThe Rethymnon Renaissance Festival is scheduled to run from the 12th until the 27th July. Here we bring you the programme of events as we were given them when we were going to press. As we understand it, the musical performances will take place in the Nerantze Mosque (Odeion), and you should be able to watch all the drama at the open-air Erofili Theatre which is within the grounds of the Fortezza. As ever here, there are just a few last minute details to be confirmed, but we think the performances will start at around 9.30 p.m. Tickets generally go on sale a few days before the events - last year tickets for the musical performances were being sold in the Town Hall, tickets for the theatrical performances were being sold at the Tourist Kiosk by the Four Martyrs’ Square. Tickets should also be available at the respective venues an hour before performances start. Once we know more, we will update you online. But in the meantime, your first port of call should be the Tourist Kiosk….But it is going to be great!

For example, in the Kentro Neon (Municipal Youth Centre) there will be several theatrical performances carried out by local children under the auspices of the Association of Artists for the promotion of Art “kat-Art-i”.
