Rock On!
Summer is here! May brought with it a couple of real scorchers and we have now been to the beach and had our first
swim of the season on the South Coast. The water was wonderful, clear and fresh, and the beach was practically deserted.
Fantastic! The perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, and to put life into perspective. Cheaper
and more effective than psychotherapy, some might say! As expected, town is starting to fill up, but the pace of life can
hardly be described as hectic, and it always is good to welcome back old friends at this time of year. By the end of the
month, though, we expect the tourist season to be in full swing, and if the forecasts are anything to go by the heat will be
on! We see plenty of ice creams ahead.
June 2008 Highlights:
Having profiled wine and water in previous issues, this month we turn our attention to beer. We’ve been out and about and have
some suggestions for excursions. We also have given you a couple of quirky scientific gems along the way. All this plus listings
of community events, news and views from around the region and much more!
