Cat in a Hat

This picture was taken in beautiful Ligres, which is one of our all-time favourite spots on the South Coast of Crete - a place where even the cats are relaxed! We went to Ligres for a ‘get away from it all’ break in May. It wasn’t exactly beach weather when we went, (in fact it rained) but that didn’t matter, we still had a wonderful time eating fine food, drinking good wine, listening to the waves, basking in the warmth of the hospitality, and enjoying the scenery. Aside from the days when we were out and about on the South Coast the weather was great in May (wouldn’t you just know it!). And now, summer is definitely here. The winter clothes have been put into storage, the sunshades are on, and it’s the time of year for long ’working’ lunches at seaside tavernas. It’s a hard life….

The Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle is an independent, monthly FREE publication that was started in January 2007 by the same team responsible for the www.rethymnon.biz website — Kate and Luc Brusten, who have been living and working in Rethymnon for a number of years. The Bugle is geared not only towards the international community living in Rethymnon, but also towards anyone who has an interest in the town. The aim of the publication is to be both informative and light hearted. We welcome feedback and written / photographic contributions from readers.
