WE HAD FUN !!! |
Carnival
2007 in Rethymnon was a great success, and as you can see from our cover
photo, people of all ages painted the town red (and green, blue,
yellow….). The weather wasn’t as kind to us as it has been in previous
years, but this didn’t seem to stop anyone from enjoying themselves. As
always, the atmosphere in town was fantastic — the vast majority of
Rethymniots and visitors really getting into the spirit of things in a
very good natured way. In this month’s issue, on the Carnival Gallery
page, you will find a selection of photos taken during the festivities —
and there are plenty of pictures online at

March Highlights |
Well, we’ve all put away the juggling hats for the time being, and town
is somewhat quieter now. However, there is still plenty going on in
Rethymnon to entertain the CMB crew. As promised in our February
edition, this month we feature the music scene in Rethymnon —
traditional and modern, giving details about local live music venues. In
this edition we also have information about one of the most important
festivals of the Greek Calendar: Feast of the Annunciation / Greek
Independence Day, which takes place on 25th March.
There are no ‘Mad March Hares’ in this month’s issue, but wildlife
figures in a large way in places, with ostriches, whales and giant squid
all making an appearance (and we think these are pretty large as
examples of wildlife). Stella McBarking is back with her cosmic schema,
we have new puzzles for you, and a round-up of local news and community
events. All this, plus the most challenging cocktail initiative test
yet. We hope you enjoy our latest edition, and, of course, welcome any
feedback. Contact details may be found on the
contact page.
