Flower Power?

Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle - Flower Power?

Well, October absolutely flew by this year—and all of a sudden the tourists have all gone home! Our social life was busy, busy, busy—there were a lot of goodbye parties for those leaving at the end of the season, (a few tears, too!) and those who have been working 24 / 7 throughout the summer were starting to get excited about the prospect of time out for the next few months. The weather has, by and large, been absolutely great, too, so good moods all round! Our November issue is once again a bumper jam packed one (as in August, 14 pages this time!). Hard work, but we think it’s worth it (keeps us out of mischief?). Thanks to all those who helped out with contributions to this month’s edition— we couldn’t have done it without you.

November Highlights:

On our Spotlight Page we take a look at Cretan Traditional music. We also bring you news from around town, updates from local enterprises and details of community and charity events. All this plus our unique crossword, questions about tortoises, an eccentric pasta recipe and much, much more!

About ‘The Bugle’

The Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle is an independent, monthly FREE publication that was started in January 2007 by the same team responsible for the www.rethymnon.biz website — Kate and Luc Brusten, who have been living and working in Rethymnon for a number of years. The Bugle is geared not only towards the international community living in Rethymnon, but also towards anyone who has an interest in the town. The aim of the publication is to be both informative and light hearted. We welcome feedback and written / photographic contributions from readers. We particularly welcome feature articles that have a Rethymnon slant; if you are considering submitting an article we would ask that you keep to an upper word limit of 500 words.

You will find our contact details and a listing of hard copy distribution outlets at the bottom of our This Month Page.

We hope you enjoy reading our November issue!
