Movie Madness

Mamma Mia, we’ve gone to the movies this month! It’s an eclectic choice of viewing, there are a couple of classics, but some real turkeys too. It’s not all about the big screen though (some might say that this is unfortunate!)…. As usual, you’ll also find solutions to last month’s puzzles on this page.

Logic Problem #21: Spelling Errors

Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle - Logic Problem #21

Four young women desperately seeking love at Halloween consult witches to help them in their search. Unfortunately, the witches have all lied on their CVs about their competencies and their spells go wrong. Happily, though, by the end of the evening, each of our lovesick beauties have managed to find romance in the arms of a Cretan Romeo. From the clues below, work out who consulted which witch(!), what happened to the spell, who each young woman ended up with, and how they were wooed (phew!).

Abigail consulted Mystic Meg - who wasn’t the witch who caused havoc with an exploding pumpkin. Natty Nikos won Beatrice’s heart with a bunch of flowers. Hopeless Hecate’s love potion turned out to be rather nasty tomato soup.

Weird Wanda’s spell resulted in traffic cones appearing everywhere. Deirdre, who wasn't the person seduced by Magic Michalis bearing chocolates, consulted Fuddled Fae. Charlotte, who didn’t consult Weird Wanda, found love with Gorgeous Giorgos, and Cosmic Costas won the heart of his fair maiden over dinner.
