A Break by the Lake!

This picture was taken on the Bugle team’s trip to Kelowna in Canada last month. The sculpture is called ‘On the Beach’. Looks somewhat different to the beach here in Rethymnon we have to say! We had a great time in Canada, but as always were pleased to be back home. September, aside from the travelling, has been rather weird. The weather has changed dramatically. I know we said last month that we were expecting some rain, but there has been loads and loads of it, which is unusual. It’s also been grey and cloudy much of the time. Sort of British weather, really rather than Cretan. Blame it on global warming? Who knows? Anyway, when the sun has been out, it has been lovely, and the cool nights and calmer atmosphere in town after the summer frenzy are greatly appreciated right now!

The Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle is an independent, monthly FREE publication that was started in January 2007 by the same team responsible for the www.rethymnon.biz website — Kate and Luc Brusten, who have been living and working in Rethymnon for a number of years. The Bugle is geared not only towards the international community living in Rethymnon, but also towards anyone who has an interest in the town.
