Crete Kennels: October Update

Off we go to Barnsley!

Time to relax before the flight

Thanks once again to Crete Kennels for providing us with their monthly news bulletin. Peter and Kimberley write: ‘Well, what a few months it has been! Many of our customers tell us that we need a holiday - but just as long as we don’t take a break when they need to use us! At the moment it’s looking as if we won’t get any time off until the end of March - and even then….!

We are now FULL for Christmas and have already had to refuse some bookings! In fact we already have some confirmed bookings for spring and are starting to pencil in clients for Easter.

Our long term guests Marvin and Lennox finally left us in September - after being with us for seven months - to return to their owners in the UK. We’re pleased to say that Marvin and Lennox did recognise their owners, and their arrival was greatly appreciated. Thankfully we now know how the system works at Heraklion Airport and the best way to make the journey as stress free as possible for the dogs.

Jacob

We do take long term bookings for dogs that are awaiting repatriation, and, thanks to the shared experiences of ourselves and our clients, we can now cover most of the current questions raised about taking dogs to and from the UK.

As one would predict, unfortunately over the years, some of our older guests have passed on. Recently, though, it is sad to related that we have lost an older guest due to ill health during their stay with us. By arrangement with the owners who are now based in the UK, Jacob has been buried here on our site under the shade of newly planted trees. So, of course, he will always remain in our thoughts.’

We are always looking for good quality plastic transport crates that you no longer need - especially larger ones. Ring us with the details and get them out of your way!
