Crete Kennels: Summer Snapshots

Rethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle - Crete KennelsRethymnon Coffee Morning Bugle - Crete KennelsPeter and Kimberley write: Yet another busy month has gone by and a few more new guests have arrived to have their first holiday with us at Crete Kennels. With so many dogs in residence, little has been done towards the planting, but we did manage to get the posts in for the new (second) wet weather area planned for the winter. Meanwhile, here are some pictures of just a few of our guests ‘doing their own thing’ while on holiday. In the photo to the left you can see one of our new guests Gia being introduced to Pooh Bear while enjoying a mid-day ‘quiet time’ in the shade of the patio. And top right is a picture of a visitor from Athens called Jordan (no not that one!) playing with Kimberley, he was a softy at heart and will be back next year. If you look closely, you can see paw print tattoos on Kimberley's’ leg. These were a birthday present to her! In the photos below (from left to right): 1.Besides having chairs available for our guests, some even bring their own travelling chairs for their comfort! 2. Of course, there are the lounge chairs on the patio to be enjoyed while on holiday at Crete Kennels. 3. Along with the guests who enjoy a ‘swim’ our Krista couldn’t miss out on a chance to cool off in the paddling pool!

Hopefully we will have some time next month to get ready for winter(!) and the rains – trees to plant and fences to put up. As a reminder we have to say, Christmas is almost FULL and we should be closing the bookings next month. Please plan ahead if you need to use us!

Canine Tip of the Month

If your dog does not walk on a hard surface very often , PLEASE check their toe nails for clipping - so many are in discomfort from this and your vet will do it quite cheaply for you.
